Who we are
Blockx Investments Ltd. is an African luxury real estate investment platform. We originate, structure and manage opportunities in prime residential, hospitality, mixed-use and development assets across the continent. Every mandate is reviewed in-house, documented under clear governance, and presented only when it meets our standards.
We are not a real estate agency, a crowdfunding platform or a generalist investment company. We are a focused partner for investors who want disciplined exposure to African luxury real estate without building a local operating team of their own.
A core part of our model is Fractional Ownership: a defined economic share of a specific luxury unit, giving investors the benefits of income and appreciation without owning the whole asset.
Founders
Joop Logger
Founder of Blockx Fractional; Co-founder of Blockx Investments Ltd
Joop Logger originated and developed the Blockx Fractional concept. He later joined forces with Amadou Chico Cissoko to build Blockx Investments Ltd, which they co-own.
Joop Logger has spent 40 years turning ideas into businesses through creativity, concept development and marketing. A Dutch entrepreneur based in The Gambia since 2013, he combines a fresh eye for opportunity with a practical understanding of how to bring a concept to market.
Joop is:
- Founder and CEO of GamRealty, established in 2019 and now one of The Gambia’s leading real estate agencies
- Originator of Blockx Fractional, a concept he developed to make ownership of premium Gambian property accessible to more investors
- Founder of JL Development Partners Ltd, advising investors and developers on opportunities in The Gambia
- Developer of EstateLogix, a SaaS platform for modelling property investments
- One of the early adopters of AI in The Gambia, using it to improve productivity and the quality of his work
Before entering real estate, Joop built his career in the Netherlands and The Gambia across marketing, design, sales and business development. At GamRealty, he brought those disciplines together to build an agency guided by four principles: transparency, trust, respect and responsiveness. They shape how he advises clients, communicates during a transaction and follows through on commitments.
His work has since expanded from individual property transactions to development concepts and structured investment opportunities. As a founder of Blockx Investments, Joop brings his knowledge of the Gambian property market and his original fractional ownership concept to a broader vision for African real estate.
Driven by the belief that good ideas must work in practice, Joop continues to connect people, property and capital while helping position The Gambia as a destination for investment and development.
Amadou Chico Cissoko
Co-founder of Blockx Investments Ltd
Undoubtedly one of the most Inspirational Innovators of his generation, Amadou Chico Cissoko’s ultimate life goal is to positively inspire and impact the lives of more than 1 billion people globally.
With more than 17 years of experience pioneering Innovative Ventures across the African continent, Amadou is:
- The founder of Guinea’s first Agrotouristic retreat
- Co-founder of FABIK FERME ECOLE (Guinea’s first private Agribusiness School)
- Alumni of the Inaugural cohort of the Prestigious Mandela Washington YALI Fellowship Award (recognized as one of the most promising young African leaders by the former US President Barack Obama)
- 3 Times TEDx Speaker, Self-Published Author, and High Impact Leadership Coach
Amadou is the only African to have led the Design-Driven Entrepreneurship Program for two (2) of the four (4) YALI Regional Leadership Centers in Nairobi and Accra, coaching and training more than 10,000 of the most promising young business leaders across 23 countries in East, Central and West Africa.
Serial entrepreneur, he has built and sold a luxury events company in Kenya while actively contributing to make of Nairobi the Hub of Innovation in Africa.
Driven by a vision to empower Affluent African investors to invest in building the future of the continent, Amadou has pioneered transformative initiatives like Pina Gambia, developing the entire Pineapple value chain in The Gambia and now Selling The Smiling Coast, to position The Gambia as a luxury Tourism & Real Estate investment destination.
